If you think at the history of cats, you think of the cats who where hunted in the middle ages. But not always people have been so crue to cats. In Egypth people treated cats like holy animals. Cats often got mumified with there owners. But even in Europe people have been friendly with cats. Before the Middle age you could see a lot of pictures with the virgin Mary and a cat.

That all changed in the Middle age. People started being very cruel to cats. People were looking for a scapegoats. They found the cat. No wonder: Its eyes flashed in the dark and if it felt down, it still stood on its feet. And really: All sense are better developed than humans.

These days, cats are one of the most loved Pets. They even are used for a kind of therapy for lonely people. A empty apartment, where a cat is waiting for its owner is not empty any more. Cats are still fascinating people, like in Egypth or in Middle age.
