Some of the photos, noticably the bluey/grey ones, were reprinted in 2005 from negatives that had lain in a box since the end of the war in 1945.

* I have no explanation as to how my father acquired these Russian and German photos. Perhaps they were given to him by one of the prisoners in the Stalag.
