Mahatma Gandhi said,

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

Please think about these important words. Think about what you are doing, what you are saying or what you are thinking. Didn't you know yet that words or thoughts can kill a soul? When we watch tv we see in the news that there is a new war, or people kill each other, or children have been raped, etc. And we are shocked. We think, we never would do such cruel things. Are you sure? Are you really sure about it?

Let me tell you this. I visit many Christian chatrooms. What I see there is scaring me. People are so full of hate. They can proclaim the whole bible, they know every vers, every book of the bible. But they act as if they never have read this important book. But they call themselves Christians. No Christian should hurt another person - neither with words or thoughts nor with deeds.Once I stepped in and said, "Hey please stop it. As a Christian you shouldn't hurt other people and use bad words here in this room." The result was that this person acted really nasty and called me "Nazi", "Hitler", and other bad names. In the meantime this person has been banned from the room. But she "killed" my soul, she has hurt me so deeply and she did this to other people too. There are much more of those people in chatrooms and around the world.

Look around you in your daily life. Watch people while they are shopping or waiting for a bus or train. What do you see? Is this what Christians should do?

What is with your own life? Mahatma Gandhi was right. We must be the change if we want the world changes. So let us start together. Not tomorrow, not next week or next month. NO, let us start NOW. In this moment. Give your neighbor a smile, your children and husband or wife a hug and start to change. Be a light in our dark world. Then you will see it will spread around the world. And this will make a better world.
