| xao Xao is the name coincidentaly given to the language I started to create in 2001. Since then, the vocabulary list has grown to be very extensive, covering many many subjects, although, I am finding that even the simplest words have been left out - I'm currently working on this. An entire new numbering system has sprung from my work as well...sets of hundreds are separated with dashes rather than commas, but fractions of the number are used with decimals still (1,356,952.85 = 1-356-952.85). Perhaps this will conflict with phone numbers? Perhaps not...not since they have changed the standard numbering system from (555) 555-5555 to 555.555.5555 (which I think is kind of loony). Please do not add your own vocabulary to this list of words. If you would like me to do so, please send me an Email and respect my time and energy spent on this lengthly project! Please do not distribute this info without my consent or giving me (Zaevodnik - himself) credit. This language is not intended for scientific or documentaional works, therefore, you will not find words for things like "subpoena" or "pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis"...there are just too many words! This is a language intended to have fun with, it may be tongue-twisting at times, but it is something you may get fairly good at. If you like this language, perhaps you could teach it to your young children so you have a language that only yourself and your child speak for the sake of privacy and a surprising other number of special uses in unique situations! Maybe you would like to just be able to write a note to a friend, in which case, this language is perfect (no one but myself has the vocabulary as of this posting). I may change words that I have translated from English and repost the entire document without noting this...but, I will leave a "most recent posting" mark to let you know if there have been any changes. Most new vocabulary will be added at the end of the list, so that would be the best place to start looking. The pronounciation is fairly simple. It's a mixture between Russian, Polish, and German, roughly.
