1: Earlier today while looking in the F/L I found a .zip (BADL1.zip) with screenshots of a "Badlands" project or route or something like that. The route goes from Albuquerque to Wagon Mound and if anyone knows anything about the route please let me know. Living in New Mexico I can tell you that the route is amazingly realistic. It actually looks like New Mexico.

2: A VERY good route at that.

3: Yes the route will be excellent. I live in New Mexico and the route actually looks like it! Unlike the Glorieta Pass and Raton Pass 2 routes, which do not accurately represent the track as it is today. Also there is NO green grass in New Mexico! But Bob Wirth did a great job anyways.

Yeah, I'm interested. This looks like the making of a good route.

That one screenshot where your "standing" behind the fence overlooking the tracks is outstanding!!!

As was I.

Don't know the fellow or what, but the pics illustrate a nice route coming together. Based on what I can see in the pics, I conclude that should it be completed it will be freeware, for default scenic objects are used and reselling those would be a no-no.

Saw the screenshots, looks like it might be a good one when released.

Hi fellows,

some custom scenery items of this project have already been released a while ago, for example the big Safeway mall, the Transport America warehouse, or the parking structure / downtown parking deck (files bigmall.zip, transam.zip, parkbuil.zip) as well as the terrtex files of the route (badlands.zip).

I already downloaded and used said buildings (not the terrtex) in the RE - if these buildings are just random examples of the project's overall quality then we can look forward to a very enjoyable route.
