K-Rino started the South Park Coalition in 1987. Wanting to unite the talent in his South Park neighborhood and the city of Houston, TX. Many of the members were battling each other around the city and were at war with one another. As a whole they have released over 50 albums and 4 clique albums.
SPC Biographies
K-Rino Is the founder of the S.P.C. He started rappin' in 1983 and released his 1st record as a member of a group called "Real Chill" in 1986. This record was the 1st record to drop from a South Park artist. "Real Chill" was one of the two groups in Houston to ever drop a rap record in the city. In 1987 he formed the "South Park Coalition" which is a collection of the hardest rappers from the South Park neighborhood of Houston, TX. Since then he has released another group project called C.O.D. with Fellow S.P.C. member Dope-E, and 4 solo projects, (Stories from the Black Book, Danger Zone, K-Rino, and No Mercy.) His 5th cd "THe Hitt List" is currently available, as well as several undergrounds including Guest Appearances VOL I and II, as well as Ten Year Run - A Collection of greatest hits from the Wizard along with brand new tracks.
Ganksta Nip joined the S.P.C. in late 1987 after he and K-Rino formed an alliance after years of competing against each other in battles around Houston. NIP started out in a group called "The Forever Def Crew". This group consisted of NIP and Klondike Kat. Ganksta Nip is the originator of the horrorcore rap style(the psycho style). Nip and another South Park legend, "K-Rock Def" mastered the style and Nip took it to the level it is at today. Ganksta Nip's 1st cd "South Park Psycho" put the S.P.C. name on the map in 1991 when it was released worldwide on rap-a-lot records. Nip is also known for writing the Geto Boys hit "Chuckie". His solo cd's are:(South Park Psycho, Psychic Thoughts, Psychotic Genius, Interview With A Killer, Psycho Thug, The Originator, and Return Of The Psychopath).
Point Blank joined the S.P.C. in 1990. He has been a solo artist from day one. He released his first cd in 1992 "Prone To Bad Dreams" on Big Tyme Records. Since then he has dropped 3 more cd's and Blank has been one of the hardest rappers in the click. His other releases are: (Mad At The World, In Tha Do', and Bad Newz Travels Fast). Point Blank also formed a group called "Wreckless Klan" and then released a self titled cd under that name. 'The Wreckless Klan" is a collaboration with PSK-13, and IceLord. Point Blank is also responsible for releasing the CD "Sentimental Value" by the late DJ Screw. Blank's new cd is due out late 2003. He also just started a new label "Wreckless Entertainment." Point Blank has several releases slated for the near future including "Point Blank" , "The Bull" and "Just When You Thought It Was Safe"
PSK-13 came into the S.P.C. in 1993. His 1st cd "No Ordinary aggiN" was released on Big Tyme Records. He is one of the best rappers in the click, and one of the most versatile. PSK has released 3 solo projects: (No ordinary aggiN, Born Bad, and Flagrant.) He is also a member of the Wreckless Klan. He has also worked with some of the best artists in the business. PSK grew up in the dead end "South Park" neighborhood and has been in the game for over 10 years. He also has a new label called "Nightshift Music."
Klondike Kat is one of the rap pioneers in H-Town. He has been in the game for over 20 years and is one of the rap legends in Houston. Kat is a pure lyricist as well as a producer and R&B song writer/producer. He joined the S.P.C. in 1992, but he has always been a well respected artist long before that. He dropped his 1st ep "The Lyrical Lion" in 1993. This cd has the classic S.P.C. click song "Murder Script" on it. Kat's other albums include: (Mobbin' Muzik Melodies, and Biography Of A Made Man.) Kat is also a member of the Killa Klan, which is another one of the tightest group of rappers in Houston, this click consists of artists such as: (Street Military, The Fakkulty, Bam, G-Rapp, Z-Ro, etc.) Klondike Kat recently became the fourth member of the almighty Wreckless Klan and will be releasing another solo album late this year entitled "The Takeover"
A.C. Chill came into the S.P.C. with Nip in late 1987. Although he has been on the underground scene for years, he is still known as one of the coldest lyricist's in the S.P.C. and anywhere for that matter. He has been a part of a few groups including a duo which consisted of himself and Ganksta Nip in the late 80's into the early 90's. AC is known by S.P.C. supporters all over the world because of his many guest appearances on S.P.C. cd's. AC Chill has started working on his second release entitled "Thug Lyrical" his prior release "Its All Ova" is currently available now.
DBX came into the S.P.C. in 1987. He was part of a group called the "Legion Of Doom" L.O.D. along with original S.P.C. member C-Rock. DBX is another pure lyricist with a street edge like most of the S.P.C. rappers. In the early 90's, he and another S.P.C. member Ruff Eyque formed the group Section A. Like AC Chill, DBX is noted for numerous guest appearances on the many click songs and individual features on S.P.C./ Killa Klan albums. He is now in the process of building and establishing his own label "Dragon Klan Records" which is named for the organization that he founded "The Dragon Klan." He has recently released his first solo album entitled "Respect The Game, Honor Thy Name"
Murder One joined the click in 1987. He has been in many groups and is a vet in the rap game. Murder One was known as "Ronnie Luv" back in the days, and was in a group called the "I-3-DEF CREW" which consisted of Guess, Ronnie Luv, and D.J. Great. Murder One was known around Houston for competing in rap contests and talent shows all over town. He started his solo career, and began recording in 1993, and has also featured on many S.P.C. songs. His solo CD is completed and scheduled for release in late 2003. Murder One is an accomplished rapper and a D.J. also. He has opened for acts such as: Eazy-E, Scarface, Spice-1, Run-DMC, Rakim, UTFO, DOC, and N.W.A.
Greek joined the S.P.C. in the early 90's and dropped his 1st solo CD in 1993 entitled "No Punk To This." He grew up in a hood in Houston called Hiram Clarke. He started out in the early 80's as a member of a group called the "Fresh Boys." The Fresh Boys consisted of Greek, D.J. CMC, and Sir Barnett. Greek was also in a large circle of Houston rappers that battled it out often in local talent shows. He has gone solo ever since. His new CD "A Deal With The Devil" is due out late 2003, and he is also featured on the S.P.C. album Personal Vendetta.
K.O. became a member of the click in 1988. He is a talented singer/song writer and adds a diferent touch to the click by being the only singer. This gives him the title of being the designated "Hook Singer" of the S.P.C. K.O. was originally affiliated C.O.D. because he grew up with Dope-E and Twice of the Terrorists. He has featured on many of the best songs from the click. He is also in the development stages of his solo CD. He has been in the industry for over 10 years.
Ruff Eyque joined the S.P.C. in 1988. He began in the hip hop game as a D.J. as well as a lyricist. He was part of the group "Section A" in the early 90's. Eyque is known for his aggressive hard core delivery which defines his name. As his career developed, he began to expand his interests toward production and engineering. Now he has established himself as one of the primary producers for the S.P.C. His new label "Underground Network" will be the label he releases his solo CD late 2003 which is entitled "UGZ's N Da Movement." He has appeared on numerous S.P.C. projects and is also featured on the S.P.C. compilations "Personal Vendetta" and "Packin Heat" as both a rapper and a producer.
Egypt-E One of the originators of the S.P.C. sound, which consists of evil basslines and hard beats, came into the S.P.C. in 1988. He is one of the pioneers of making original, creative music in the south. He is one of the members of the group "The Terrorists" and his sound is recognized worldwide. Egypt produced the classic Ganksta Nip song "Horror Movie Rap" as well as countless other S.P.C. tracks. He was also an original member of C.O.D. He is still respected as one of the top producers in the click.
C-Rock is one of the first ever members of the click. He came into the coalition in 1987. C-Rock and K-Rino have been hanging out since 1984, and he began rappin' while being around K-Rino back in the days. He was part of the group L.O.D. with DBX back in 1986. C-Rock was one of the tightest battle rappers in Houston, along with the likes of K-Rino, Ganksta Nip, DBX, Klondike Kat, K-Rock, Def, AC Chill, etc. He moved to Oakland in 1988 and kept the S.P.C. tradition going on the West Coast as a member of the group "Criminal Behavior." He still makes trips back home to perform with the S.P.C. and is one of the OG's of the click.
Rapper K is also one of the first members to be in the Coalition. He met K-Rino in 1985. Rapper K was also a great battle rapper back in the days. He was known at his high school along with other original S.P.C. members Preppy Jay, and G.T. as one of the best in the school. Rapper K is also responsible for introducing K-Rino and Dope-E to each other and that connection was one of the foundations of the S.P.C. He had a smooth delivery and was a talented lyricist. He is now in the business side of the industry, but can still put down if necessary.
Texas Tech has been in the S.P.C. since 1992. He came up through the ranks as a determined M.C. trying to make a name for himself and has been able to accomplish that. Tech has been heard on many click songs and has been an active member of the Coalition working on many phases of the business (writing, perfoming, promoting, etc.). He is now utilizing his talent on the S.P.C. compilations "Personal Vendetta" and "Packin Heat" where he is featured on several of the songs. His solo project entitled "One Man Line-Up" is in the early stages of development. He used to be in a group called "Niggaz Under Seige" along with Killa Klan rapper BAM.
Brain Dead came into the click in 1992. He did not begin writing until later and soon became a respected and talented lyricist. He has been active in the coalition operation for 10 years and is heavily showcased on the "Personal Vendetta" album. He also has a solo song on the album entitled "Mind Over Matter" since then he has featured on CD's from K-Rino and Aggravated.
Street Military came into the click in 1994 and are one of the greatest groups to come out of Houston. Street Military has a large following worldwide, and have made some of the most popular undeground hits from the south. The members (Lil Flea, K.B. THe Kidnappa, Icey Hott, Pharoah, and R.I.P. Nutt) are Houston legends. The groups individual rappers all have their own identity and have distinct styles which make the group special. Icey Hott is one of the tightest producers in the south and is the man responsible for Street Militar's sound. Pharoah and Icey Hott have dropped solo projects and K.B. and Lil' Flea have collaborated on an album. Street Military represents the diversity of Houston because they consist of rappers from all sides of the city (South Park, Hiram Clarke, Missouri City, and Trinity Gardens.) Their current CD is in stores now entitled "Steel Gangstaz."
20-2-Life joined the click in 1993. They came into the game on Bigtyme records. They have since then released several very popular CD's and have worked with all of the members of the S.P.C. They recorded one of the classic S.P.C. click songs "Wreckless In Texas." They have worked with such artists as Master P., Mia X, and Damon Hall of GUY. They have perfomed many shows and sold alot of units. The members (Black and Killa Hoe) have been in the rap business for a number of years and they continue to release good music.
The Gameboyz came into the S.P.C. in 1993. They released their first CD "An Ounce Of Game" which quickly became a hood classic. With hits like "Jackin Instructions" and "Don't Kill Ya Brother" J-Flex and Weester Wee established themselves as respected rap artists in Houston. "An Ounce Of Game" is one of the most sought after CD's from the south, but is currently out of print. Although J-Flex is currently encarcerated, the Gameboyz continue to move forward. They released their second CD entitled "Make That Change 2001."
Ice Lord Originally from New Orleans, joined the click in the mid 90's. He came into the group as one of the most talented rappers in the click. He quickly teamed up with Point Blank and PSK-13 and became a member of the Wreckless Klan. He is a very underrated lyricist who is on the way to making a solid name for himself. He recently dropped his first CD called "Now Who Dat." His second album is currently in production. He has always been noticed and acclaimed in the click, and just adds to the list of different talented artists.
Ghetto Thugs a group which consists of the only two females in the Coalition, came into the click in 1994. The two rappers Dilemma and Aggravated Phat Kat, have created their own style of synchronized rappin' where they can recite an entire song simultaneously. They are straight hard-core street rappers and both are capable of doing a solo thing at any time. They have been featured on S.P.C. CD's from K-Rino, The Terrorists, Point Blank, etc. This group is capable of competing with most male rappers in the game.
