The open air musicfestival accomplished on Saturday afternoon of the city celebration "Rendsburger Herbst". It begins with the collecting of the participants and Placeconcert at the information tent. The participants, music corps and Marchingbands of hole Germany and  foreign countries march out completely thereafter in a parade by the cityfestivalmile to the market place "Schiffbrückenplatz". There they present concerts and Tattoo. Interested visitors of the autumfestival (about 200.000 in four days) can simply stop at the marketplace "Schiffbrückenplatz" during their private cityfestivalstroll to listen to the concerts and watch the tattoos.  The entrance is free.

Since the year 2000 works 10 to 15 persons in the organization team around all necessary for the success of the Arrangementes to arrange. 40 to 100 aids provides on the meeting day for a smooth operational sequence. The guests are cared for by members of the Musikkorps Rendsburg around the clock.

In the year 2002 the "Youth music corps of Rendsburg" accomplished the 1st internationally open north German championship for youth and senior music associations in concert -, march and Showklassen. The second championship is planned on the last weekend in August 2006.
