David Gallagher appears.
The name of Mary's husband is Carlos. Simon kills someone named Paul in an auto accident. Simon has broken up with Cecilia. Paul was riding on a motorcycle wearing no helmet. Paul was under the influence of drugs during the accident. Simon was not paying attention. Paul's parents come to talk to Eric at home. Paul's parents Anne and Don would like Simon to move elsewhere for the year because they are afraid that their son Justin may do something to Simon. Anne and Don also accepted the insurance companies settlement and do not wish to have a trial.
And at the end of the episode...Eric seeks help from Don and Anne to help find a missing Simon...to be continued.

Additional Information Regarding Season 8.
Season Outline: This season, the Camdens open their doors - and hearts - to those less fortunate and redefine the very meaning of family. The family faces dramatic changes as Eric returns to the church with renewed vigor and devotes himself to helping local children through community outreach. Kevin and Lucy ponder the pitter-patter of little feet as their twinkly newlywed bliss drives everyone a little nuts. But the biggest challenges await - from a whirlwind wedding to an ominous call from the police - that will put their faith in each other to the test.

Bei einem Autounfall, in den Simon verwickelt ist, stirbt der Motorradfahrer Paul. Er trug
keinen Helm und wie sich später herausstellt fuhr er unter Drogeneinfluss. Doch Simon
hatte auch nciht aufgepasst!!Die Eltern von Paul, Don und Anne, sprechen mit Eric und
Anne möchten, dass Simon für ein Jahr die Stadt verlässt, da sie denken Paul's Bruder,
Justin könnte Simon was antun.
In Folge des Unfalles trennt sich Simon von Cecilia.
