Blue News
Three stories of Blue shenanegans for you today. First comes the sad tale of Simon Webbe, who the tabs claim is so desperate for a girlfriend that he has taken to hanging out in posh designer shops and chatting up the sales assistants. One Sunday tab quotes him thus: "I've got great houses and a nice car, the only thing missing is a woman to go with the whole package." Well if you keep asking shop assistants if they want to be part of your package it's no wonder you're striking out, mate.
Meanwhile Duncan wants to take a short break from the band to launch a movie career by starring in the forthcoming 'Carry On London'. Apparently he's up for a part as a cabbie who has a steamy affair with Lady Isabella Hervey. Word is, though, that the band are unlikely to reschedule their tour just to allow him a bit of onscreen nookie.
Finally Anthony has been putting his foot in it. While recording with blind superstar Stevie Wonder recently, Ant got so nervous about meeting his hero that he asked him if he had "seen any good films recently". Ouch!

I'M UTTERLY HUMILIATED
The six months pregnant fiancée of Blue pop star Antony Costa told last night how he callously dumped her in a cruel telephone call.
Tearful Lucy Bolster, who was to wed the heart-throb singer next year, sobbed: "I'm devastated and feel completely abandoned. I can't believe it. It all feels like a bad dream."
Single mum Lucy went on: "He has changed from the man who has been a fantastic father to my son, as well as a great boyfriend, to someone who doesn't want to know me any more.
"Words can't describe how hurt I am."
Beautician Lucy, 23, who is expecting her baby in March, has been dating Antony, 22, for two years.
The pair were to tie the knot at Blenheim Palace, the £100million Oxfordshire estate of the 11th Duke of Marlborough.
But distraught Lucy - who has a two-year-old son, Joe, from a previous relationship - admitted she hasn't seen the singer for more than six weeks.
Speaking for the first time about the split, she said: "Antony called me about a month ago while he was on tour.
"I hadn't seen him since the beginning of November and, as far as I was concerned, everything was fine between us. So when I got the call to tell me it was over, I went into complete shock.
"He told me it was over, but wouldn't give me an explanation. I asked him was there someone else, but he denied it."
Lucy went on: "What is unforgivable, though, is that he hasn't even contacted Joe, who adores him.
"It seems like I'm living every girl's worst nightmare. I'm six months pregnant, and it looks like, for the second time, I'm going to become a single mum. I feel humiliated."
Lucy poured out her heart after moving back to her mum and dad's home in Enfield, North London, from Sawbridgeworth, Herts, where she and Ant had set up home.
She said: "I don't think he would have cheated on me. He's got more respect for me than that, but then again, I feel like I don't know anything.
"We've gone out for over two years now and were planning to get married.
Antony really wanted this baby, and we were looking forward to becoming a family. I've heard he is planning to buy a house for me, my son Joe and our baby but, to be honest, I'm not interested in that. It all means nothing if Antony isn't there.
"I've been crying constantly. What hurts the most though is that Antony won't tell me why he wants to split.
"I've been phoning him but he won't return my calls. He's just blanking me. I'm utterly confused by the situation. If someone had said two months ago we would be finished by Christmas I would never have believed them.
"I'm having a little girl in March. While I can't wait until she is born, the happiness is mixed with sadness and a little bit of fear now I know I'll be going it alone." Lucy and Antony broke the news that she was expecting in July and held a lavish party at their new £500,000 home close to Posh and Becks' mansion.
Lucy is a close pal of Posh's sister Louise and has met the pop star at "Beckingham Palace".
Only a few weeks ago Antony, now on tour with the band, said: "Lucy has a son from her previous relationship, so we're looking forward to having a big family. I'm the happiest man in the world." But yesterday, Lucy also revealed she had given up her own career as a systems analyst to spend more time with Antony.
She added: "I met him when Blue were starting out and have seen their popularity soar over two years.
"His work means he's away a lot, so in February I gave up work to be able to travel around with him. Over the last four weeks I have been racking my brain to think of what I might have done wrong. One day everything's fine, the next it's over."
Lucy, who is taking a beauty and holistic therapy course, admitted she would still have Antony back.
She added: "Despite the fame, me and Antony had a pretty normal relationship and as far as I was concerned he was the one. I've never been into the showbiz scene. When you have children your priorities change. Despite what has happened I still want Antony back, I love him.
"I can't imagine life without him."
Lucy was speaking on her way home from a trip to Disneyland in America to cheer up her and Joe.
She admitted the future looked bleak. "I feel like I'm making a fool of myself ringing him constantly and not getting my calls returned. It feels like he's a stranger who I can't call.
"I haven't spoken to the rest of the Blue band, they're all lovely boys but I don't want to get them involved.
"Last year we spent Christmas in Barbados with Antony's family, this year it doesn't look like we'll be spending Christmas together at all."
Blue's meteoric rise to fame began in May 2001, when the London lads released their debut single All Rise. Their next singles, Too Close and If You Come Back, both went to No.1 and by the end of the year they'd won the Best Newcomer award at the Brits. Their next album teamed them up with Elton John for the hit Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.
This year, they have won another Brit for Best Pop Act, they've been named the face of Pepsi in a £50million deal and have just completed their third album.

Lee nicks off with his mum
AS one quarter of boyband Blue, Lee Ryan has a fair bit of cash. So
we were surprised to see him smuggling booze and food out of a posh
London ball.
The pop heart-throb was with bandmates performing at the swish £3000-
a-head La Dolce Vita event on Thursday.
But as the lads dashed offstage Lee, who was with mum Sheila, started
grabbing all the food. Meanwhile Duncan James didn't get a bite to
eat as he was mobbed for autographs by guests. That might explain the
long face.

Er sieht so unschuldig aus – doch er prügelt, pöbelt, randaliert: „Blue“-Sänger Lee Ryan ist laut Boulevard-Blatt „Mirror“ nach einer langen Party-Nacht in einem Londoner Nachtclub auf die Fotografen losgegangen. Ein Augenzeuge zum „Mirror“: „Die Fotografen waren für ihn wie ein rotes Tuch. Er torkelte und sagte, wenn sie nicht verschwänden, würde er ihre Kameras zertrümmern. Das hat sie nicht gekümmert, also tickte Lee aus.“
Und zwar nicht zu knapp: „Sein erster Schwinger ging wegen seines Alkohol-Pegels eine Meile daneben. Doch mit dem zweiten zerschmetterte er ein Blitzlicht“, so der Zeuge gegenüber dem „Mirror“.
Das wütende Opfer David Abbey: „Lee ist ein Kind – er kann sich einfach nicht kontrollieren. Er gehört an eine Hundeleine. Ich gehe notfalls vor Gericht, bis ich Schadenersatz für meine kaputte Kamera bekomme.“
Warum flippt der Nachwuchs-Musiker nur immer so aus?

LEE RYAN lashed out at a photographer and smashed his camera after he refused to stop taking pictures of the star at a nightclub.
The angry BLUE singer, nicknamed the Clown Prince Of Pop, was pictured with a pretty brunette outside London’s 10 Rooms early yesterday morning.
But things soon turned nasty when the boy band singer turned on a snapper and damaged his camera.
The pop star then fled in a cab with some pals.
A source said: “Lee lashed out because he had already posed for the photographer.
“He warned he would smash the camera if he didn’t stop – so he did exactly that.”
Blue – Lee, DUNCAN JAMES, SIMON WEBBE and ANTONY COSTA – have joined with STEVIE WONDER for their new single Signed, Sealed, Delivered, out Monday.

Guilty!
Poor old Lee Blue has ended up in trouble again, after smashing a photographer's equipment in a late night brawl. It seems the slap-happy popster was leaving a smart showbiz do with Girls Aloud at London's trendy 10 Rooms club when a couple of snappers ran up to him to get one of those candid shots we love to see.
Being a reasonable sort, Lee offered to pose for a couple of snaps if the paps promised to go away. But when one followed him down the street, still merrily clicking away, that's when the trouble started. A wild kick smashed the photgrapher's flash gun, and now he's looking to sue.
David Abbey - the pic-boy in question - has told the Mirror: "Lee is a child - he can't control himself. He needs to be put on a leash. I'll pursue this through the courts unless I get compensation for the 1,000 pounds worth of damage he has caused to my camera."
So, still chasing after Lee then. Haven't you learned your lesson yet, Dave?

Blue hellraiser Ryan in late-night bust-up
SOMEONE get Lee Ryan into anger-management classes - quick.
The pop bad-boy could be heading for another run-in with the police after a bust-up with two photographers outside a London nightclub.
Blue heart-throb Lee, who had been partying inside the swanky 10 Rooms with Girls Aloud stars Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh, stumbled out at 3am with a gorgeous brunette.
Faced with a barrage of flashbulbs, he told snappers he'd pose if they'd leave him alone. But things turned ugly when one chased him up the street and refused to quit taking his picture.
"That was like a red rag to a bull," one witness tells us. "Lee stumbled up and said that if they didn't get lost, he'd smash their cameras. They didn't back down so Lee lashed out.
"His drunken haymaker missed one guy by a mile but a second wasn't so lucky - Lee's flying kick smashed his flash gun."
The snappers later reported the matter to the police and are demanding compensation for their broken equipment.
Furious freelancer David Abbey said: "Lee is a child - he can't control himself. He needs to be put on a leash
"I'll pursue this through the courts unless I get compensation for the £1,000 worth of damage he has caused to my camera."
Since Blue became Britain's top boy-band, Lee, 20, has cemented his hell-raising reputation.
In August, he was thrown out of Browns nightclub for being drunk and abusive. Later that night, he was found to be over the drink-drive limit and later banned for 18 months.
At the swanky Copthorne hotel in Newcastle, Lee is said to have sprayed guests with a fire extinguisher. And at Brighton's Seattle Hotel, he allegedly used one to attack the manager.
He has also been accused of fighting bouncers at London's Elysium and losing his rag with airport staff. Last night, a friend of the star claimed: "Lee posed for the photographers but they continued to harass him.
"He asked them three times to leave him alone."
The star's spokesman said: "Lee was being harassed. He stopped and posed but they just wouldn't leave him alone."

BLUE star ANTHONY COSTA has left fiancee LUCY BOLSTER heart-broken -
by calling off their wedding just three months before she has his
baby.
A friend of Lucy said: "She's really upset - she feels she's been
abandoned.
"After all, she's six months pregnant and can't just say, 'Oh well,
it's gone wrong so I'll walk away without a fuss'.
"She feels totally let down and goes between being very angry and
very hurt by it all. She's got her family to support her - but this
is certainly not what she expected."
The decision by Anthony, 22, to finish with 23-year-old Lucy - who
has a son Joseph, two, from a previous love - really was out of the
Blue.
The couple recently bought a ?00,000 house near Posh and Becks'
mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Herts.
Now Lucy has gone away and plans to move back to her parents' home in
Essex.
It is such a contrast to the summer - when she and Anthony threw a
star-studded showbiz party to seal their engagement after his
proposal last year on the Costa del Sol.
Announcing the preg-nancy in August, Anthony even said: "We're over
the moon as we've been talking about it for a while and have been
trying.
"We'll marry next year and look forward to having a big family. I'm
the happiest man in the world."
Lucy also gushed about their wedding - which was due to be held at
Blenheim Palace - saying: "My son Joseph will be a pageboy and all
our friends will be there, including Blue. I am so excited. I can't
wait to marry Anthony.
"It should be an absolutely perfect day."
Since then, though, cracks have appeared in their relationship.
A band insider said: "Anthony's work has meant he hasn't seen much of
Lucy recently."
Last night, a Blue spokesman confirmed the split. He said: "No one
else is involved and Anthony has pledged his 100 per cent support
financially.
"He plans to buy a home for Lucy and the baby."

BLUE lads Duncan James and Lee Ryan snubbed their official after-show party to hit a Glasgow casino.
Hunky Duncan left his girlfriend Anya Lahiri to party with the stage crew as he went on his ultimate boys night out.
The band, who have been performing three sell-out gigs at Glasgow's SECC, were expected to attend a VIP bash at Glasgow's Cube club on Wednesday night.
But the boys chose to have a late night flutter on the tables of Clydeside's Rotunda Casino.
During the day, stringent security checks had been carried out at the Queen Street nightclub by the band's management, who demanded 150 VIP armbands for the boys and their entourage.
Some of their close friends had flown up from London. But on the night the roulette tables proved to be too much of an attraction for Duncan and Lee.
Both boys had joined as members on Monday night before they started rehearsals.
As band members Simon Webbe and Anthony Costa strummed guitars in their hotel the Glasgow Milton Duncan and Lee got rid of some of their dosh at the blackjack and roulette tables.

GAME FOR A LAUGH: Blue Washed-up rocker Billy Mack - played by Bill Nighy - releases a single, Love Is All Around, against Blue, slags them off and defaces photos of the fit band. Blue took it all in good part. But they've now decided to release their single Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours with Stevie Wonder on December 15, the same day Nighy releases his from the film. Let battle commence...

Blue - Feuerlöscher & Groupiesex
Fans, ihr habt verloren! Blue-Star Duncan James hat sich seine Hörner abgestoßen! Ab sofort sagt er entschlossen 'NEIN!!!' zu Groupiesex. Dem Blatt 'Daily Record' erzählte der Frauenheld, dass er seine wahre Liebe gefunden habe – die heisst Anya – und er schwört ihr ewige Treue...
Wenig gutes gibt es wieder mal von seinem Bandkollegen Lee Ryan zu berichten: Er sorgte in einer Hotelbar mit einem Feuerlöscher-Spritzspektakel für Fassungslosigkeit!! Rabauke Ryan war selbst der Gastgeber des Chemisch-klebrigen Happenings und war völlig in seinem Element, so ein geschockter Fan.

Hairy Christmas
It probably doesn't come as any surprise that with all those showbiz parties not even popstars are beyond the Yuletide bloat. In a TOTP magazine interview due out today, no wit wonder Lee Blue confesses to a particularly hairy festive experience.
"One morning over Christmas I woke up with really bad guts," Lee 'fessed. "I went to see my mum and cried, me guts are killing me!" Full up with mince pies, turkey stuffing and those little, round sausages wrapped in bacon no doubt, the low-browed loafer continued, "Then, when I farted, poo shot out me trousers and landed on the floor!" Euuuuuuw!
Notice we're not making any wise cracks [Oops!] about Yule logs and giving them a dusting. [Ah, damn and we tried so hard as well!]

LEE RYAN stunned hotel guests when he let off a fire extinguisher in the bar during an all-night booze-up.
Tipsy Lee sprayed drinkers with foam after inviting fans to the Copthorne Hotel bar in Newcastle upon Tyne following a BLUE gig on Monday night.
Only days ago he pulled the same stunt at another hotel. A soaked victim said last night: “Lee was in his element — a load of nurses were staying in the hotel.”

Skandal-Boy Lee kommt aus den Negativ-Schlagzeilen einfach nicht raus! Auf der aktuellen Blue-Tour in England ließ er nacheinander in zwei Nobelhotels die S** raus und wurde unter anderem gefilmt, als er sich mit zwei Groupies im Whirlpool vergnügte...
Obwohl Lee ja gerne mit seinen Weibergeschichten prahlt, kann er froh sein, dass das brisante Tape nicht in falsche Hände geriet! Nachdem sich zuerst das Personal genüßlich ein Bild von Lees Schäferstündchen machen konnte, landete das Video in der Hand des seriösen Hotelmanagers, der die Aufnahmen aus Rücksicht auf den Ruf des Luxusdomizils sofort löschen ließ!
Ganz so lautlos ging der nächste Blue-Skandal allerdings nicht über die Bühne. Als die Jungs auf ihrer nächsten Tour-Etappe in Brighton mit ihrem Gefolge erst die Bar auf den Kopf stellten und sich anschließend sturzbetrunken auf dem Korridor mit Feuerlöschern eine ausgelassene Schaumschlacht lieferten, hagelte es an der Rezeption des noblen "Seattle Hotel" Beschwerden von genervten Gästen.
Am nächsten Morgen beeilten sich Lee und Konsorten, sich wegen der Lärmbelästigung und der ausschweifenden "Aftershow-Party" zu entschuldigen und zückten als Friedensangebot ein paar Freikarten für ihre nächste Show...

Hemmunglos kippten Ryan und sein Band-Kumpel Anthony Absynth, einen klebrigen Wermut-Schnaps, der zügig in den Kopf steigt. Ryan zerzauste sich die Haare und torkelte gröhlend durchs Hotel. Das berichtet die Tageszeitung „Sun“. Er zog einen BH an, stürmte in die Hotel-Bar und lallte zu einer Frau: „Hey, fass' mir an die Brüste und quetsch' sie.“
Als ein Hotel-Manager den trunkenen Popper beruhigen wollte, riss Ryan einen Feuerlöscher von der Wand und spritzte den Mann ab. Im Treppenhaus erwischte er mit dem Löschschaum auch noch ein paar andere Hotelgäste.
Bis morgens um 5 Uhr wüteten Ryan und Anthony im Hotel, konnten sich erst dann beruhigen und schliefen ein.
Nach dem Ausnüchtern schlichen die Nachwuchs-Musiker kleinlaut durch die Flure und entschuldigten sich bei anderen Hotelgästen mit Konzert-Eintrittskarten und signierten „Blue“-CDs.
Vielleicht sollten es die beiden demnächst mit dem Lieblingsgetränk aller Briten versuchen – Tee. Der ist alkoholfrei und macht gar nicht erst so aufgeregt... (lut.)

POP plonker Lee Ryan has gone on a drunken rampage at a seafront hotel.
The bad-boy Blue singer DRANK super-strength absinthe, SOAKED the deputy manager with a fire extinguisher and TERRIFIED a 12-year-old girl.
He then ran back into the bar wearing a BRA and asked a woman to “squeeze my boobs”.
Witnesses said Lee — famed for his bad-boy antics — was with band member Anthony Costa, 21.
One guest said: “There was a mob of about 30 in the bar. Lee started to get really drunk and was screaming and rolling around on the floor.
"He and Anthony then started running up and down the corridors and sprayed each other with fire extinguishers.
“One woman came out of her room saying she had a terrified 12-year-old who had been woken up by the commotion.
“The manager told Lee and Anthony to be quiet — and got drenched with the extinguisher.”
Blue had booked more than 30 of the 71 bedrooms at Seattle Hotel in Brighton, where they were performing.
A spokesman for Blue said: “There was no offence meant. It was just high jinks.”
The band is now set to reimburse guests kept awake until 5am by Lee, 20.
They have also pledged concert tickets and signed records for the scared girl.

Pop Bad Boy Lee in Blue Movie Scandal
Shocked hotel staff discovered a real life Blue Movie on cctv tape – with the band’s sex-mad singer Lee Ryan in the lead role.
The rampant star was caught on camera romping with two girls in the spa at Bournemouth’s posh Highcliff Marriott
Lee, 20, sneaked into the leisure suite for a kinky threesome with the two Blue fans after staff had locked up.
When bosses saw the tape they were so terrified it would ruin the hotels reputation that they called an emergency meeting and banned staff from revealing details of the sex romp. It is believed that the cctv footage has now been wiped over.
An insider said: “the managers called everyone together to stop the news leaking to the press. It was a sensation at the hotel, especially because it was on tape. The staff were all talking about it.”
Blue were staying at the five-star hotel, which is one of Bournemouth’s most prestigious, on November 10th, when Lee and fellow band members – Antony Costa, 22, Simon Webbe, 24 and Duncan James, 24 – were performing at the Bournemouth International Centre. But Lee just couldn’t resist staging his own after-show performance.
The hotel source explained: “Shortly after the concert finished, about ten groupies came into the hotel, then Blue sneaked in through the back door. Later on Lee and two girls broke into the spa area after closing time and had sex in the Jacuzzi. Obviously they had quite a party in there”
It’s not the first time Lee has been caught having sex in a public place. He recently did the dirty with two girls in the VIP lounge of London’s Chinawhite club, potted a groupie on a pool table in a London recording studio and romped with a blonde in a toilet at the Cannes Film Festival.

Duncan: Kein Solo-Vertrag
Wenn Blue einmal den Punkt ohne Rückkehr beim Band-internen Streit erreichen, müssen die Popfans von Duncan James Abschied nehmen. Der Sänger hat einen hoch dotierten Solovertrag für die Zeit nach Blue abgelehnt.
"Wir haben ihm einen Deal über zwei Alben angeboten, der umgerechnet 1,5 Millionen Euro wert war. Erstaunlicherweise hatte er kein Interesse", so ein Sprecher des Blue-Labels "Innocent". Anscheinend möchte Dunc mit Hilfe von Tara Palmer-Tomkinson ein großer Kino-Held werden.

Well no one can accuse Blue of not catering to all ages, at their Wembley gig this week the phwoarsome foursome went from being decked out in prison get up to a full-on fancy dress Michael Jackson medley.
Thankfully there was no dangling of babies, however the audience were, er, treated to the likes of such Jacko greats as 'Smooth Criminal', 'Beat It' and even 'Thriller', complete with zombies (but no Cheeky Girls)!
One happy Blue fan told the Pops: "It was hilarious! They were all dressed as Jackos in black suits with blue spangley hats for 'Beat it' and 'Smooth Criminal' and red cropped leather Jackets for 'Thriller'. It was cool, although Simon looked like a girl in his red outfit."

Blue have gone straight to the top of the charts with their third album Guilty, and it's not like the others.
The boys have decided to try a more rocky sound this time, and Duncan explained why they went for something a bit different.
He said: "The first album we tried out some Motown. The second album we did some dancing.
"It was like, let's try something different boys. Where shall we go? Let's take it a bit rocky."
More ballads too
But this doesn't mean they've ditched the ballads that fans love.
The first single, also called Guilty, reached number three in the chart.
"It's a ballad, it's a classic ballad, it's got a beautiful melody. And I don't think people expected us to come back with something like that, I think it's good to keep people guessing," said Lee.
No split
And following a few rumours of a band split it's good news for fans of the cheeky foursome.
"It's just that people want to say that to make a story - we are not splitting," confirmed Anthony.

BLUE singer Simon Webbe is secretly dating the new Miss England, I can reveal. Unlike bandmates Duncan James and Lee Ryan, the 25-year-old hunk has apparently remained steadfastly single. But I can reveal Simon, who has been trying to keep the romance under wraps, has met up for a string of dinner dates with beauty queen Jackie Turner over the past month. Simon met stunning Jackie when he was one of the judges at this year's Miss England contest at the Po Na Na night club in Hammersmith, west London last month.
I'm sure he wasn't showing any bias, but it certainly wouldn't have harmed the 25-year-old Miss Dorset's chances. And after she was crowned he made his move by asking her out on a date. Not that she was complaining. My spies inform me that Simon and Jackie from Bournemouth have become incredibly close.One pal told me: "It's early days but they both seem very keen indeed. Jackie - a model and qualified personal trainer - flew out of England on Thursday night. "It's fingers crossed," she said. Meanwhile, Simon and his Blue bandmates began their UK and Ireland tour with a sell-out concert in Belfast last Tuesday night. He and the rest of the boys will undoubtedly be celebrating today when they are confirmed as being at No 1 with their new album, Guilty. Despite being linked with the likes of Dannii Minogue since Blue rose to chart stardom, Simon has remained resolutely single - although he has boasted of having sex with an ex-love on a car bonnet on the hard shoulder of the busy M62 between Liverpool and Leeds. Nice. It was later revealed that the former Port Vale footballer has a six-year-old daughter from a relationship with ex-girlfriend Nichola Jones when he was just a teenager. Oh dear. We wouldn't want to be Duncan Blue these days. Not only does the poor fella have to deal with Ant's moods and Lee's...well just Lee, he's now caught between his girlf Anya Lahiri and celebrity beanpole Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.
According to the Sun, Dunc's working relationship with Tara PT (they run production company Meltdown together) is causing problems for girlf Anya, who is becoming increasingly jealous of Tara.
Tara told the Sun: "I've got bigger fish to fry my own age. Duncan is six years younger than me. I know Duncan and he is a naughty boy and whatever it is they've got going on she'll have to get used to this sort of thing."
"But if I was her I wouldn't like seeing me with Duncan," added Tara, "what girl would?"
We reckon it's a matter of perspective. Viewed from a ninety degree angle, Tara's pretty hard to spot anyway.

"Pop will eat itself". Never a truer word has been spoken and if Blue's latest offering is anything to go by they are about to complete what has been a hearty and eventful meal. Guilty is, in equal parts, vapid, bland, hopelessly derivative, unimaginative and, occasionally, downright offensive. It's sad to think that in a world that has so many talented and inspiring musicians, including ones within the sphere of pop, it's Lee, Duncan, Simon and Antony that are held up as being the pick of the pops. Quite where such an accolade has come from, other than from the pen of some satanic marketing executive, is staggeringly. There is not one moment of the ballad-heavy, drippy, sugar-sweet overdose of Guilty that deserves even a second listen. This is the sound of a band more interested in increasing their tabloid column inch count with their various late night shenanigans and celebrity ligging, than in their music. There is no effort, no emotion, no desire in any of the tunes on offer. Whether it be the cod-Justin high pitched tedium of "Stand Up", the wimpy fake heartbreak of "Guilty", the limp pop-disco nonsense of "Rock The Night" or chugging awful drippy seriousness of "Walk Away". Not even the presence of the legendary Stevie Wonder and the equally fantastic Angie Stone on "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours" can get the party started. Their appearance only serves to show how untalented these four lads are. Blue should change their name to Grey, so non-descript is this offering. There are rumours that they are on the verge of splitting. If Guilty is the best they have in them, let's hope such rumours are true. |

TARA PALMER-TOMKINSON laid into DUNCAN JAMES’s girlfriend for being annoyed at how much time she spends with the BLUE heart-throb.
TPT ranted about ANYA LAHIRI after flying to Belfast to watch the band kick off their UK tour.
Tara — who is a co-partner with Duncan in TV production company Meltdown — said: “I can’t be bothered worrying about what she is thinking.
“I’ve got bigger fish to fry my own age. Duncan is six years younger than me.
“At the end of the day, Anya is 19 and going out with Duncan who is in one of the biggest boy bands.
“I know Duncan and he is a naughty boy and whatever it is they’ve got going on she’ll have to get used to this sort of thing. I don’t need to be worrying about what she thinks.
“But if I was her I wouldn’t like seeing me with Duncan, what girl would?
“Anya is a lovely girl but I just can’t be bothered thinking, ‘Is this going to upset her?’
“Me and Duncan are partners in a multimillion-pound business and we are not going to stop seeing each other.”
Tara turned up at the band’s first night performance wearing a four-inch mini skirt. She tucked into — get this — burger and chips then jumped up and down and screamed during the gig.
Back at the plush Culloden Hotel, where the band were staying, she had changed into a red mini dress and red knee-high leather boots.
No wonder Anya’s got the hump.
But Duncan is likely to be smiling this weekend as Blue’s album Guilty looks set to go straight in at No1.

BLUE singer Duncan James's runaway dad has revealed he told the star's mum to have an abortion.
And Simon Roscoe has boasted of the high life he had in the Far East while Fiona James struggled as a single mum.
Duncan first made contact with 50-year-old Roscoe last December.
But the pair have never met and 24-year-old Duncan recently described his biological father as ``a p **** '' and ``just asperm donor''.
Callous Roscoe said he told Fiona they would have to split when he was offered a computer job in Hong Kong in 1979. Then she revealed she was pregnant.
He said: ``I didn't want a child, so I told her she should havean abortion.
``She told me she was going to have the baby whether I liked it or not. Fiona claimed we were engaged when she became pregnant but that's not true I never saw any future for us.
``Shortly after we split up, I flew to Hong Kong to begin my new life. I had a fantastic time.
``I had a luxury apartment, a chauffeur and lots of girlfriends very much like the life I imagine Duncan now leads.''
Roscoe says he returned to Salisbury, Wiltshire, at about the time the baby was due and rang the hospital.
He added: ``They confirmed that Fiona had given birth. It sounds strange but I didn't ask if she'd had aboyora girl. I felt totally detached.''
Duncan says the only good thing to come out of his contact with Roscoe is getting to know his halfbrother Julian, 14, and half-sister Tara, 11, from Roscoe's marriage to German economist Maya Sallinger.
Roscoe said: ``In December 2002, Fiona rang to tell me that Duncan wanted to know if he had any brothers or sisters.
``I passed on their mother's number and he met Julian and Tara in February. He made it clear he wanted nothing to do with me.
``I've spoken to Duncan just once. A few months ago, Fiona offered me tickets to a Blue gig, so I called her.
``Duncan answered the phone and I told him I'd like to meet him.
He said, `You'll have to speak to my mum about that'. I never went to the concert.''
Duncan said of his father: ``He's an alcoholic who runs away from his responsibilities all the time.
``I never got so much as a birthday card or phone call from him.
``He left mum to bring me up on her own. I don't want him as a father and I never have done. Ialways felt he would come out of the woodwork.
``The most important thing that came out of him contacting me was the fact that I found out, six months ago, I had a brother and sister.
``I immediately noticed that in certain ways Julian resembles me at that age he's got my eyes.
``They struck me as sweet-looking children with lovely manners.''
Duncan visited Julian and Tara with his mum, Fiona, 45, who got on well with Maya.
Duncan said: ``I think that they like swapping notes about my dad.
``Maya and I have talked about Simon on one occasion and, to be honest, I found it a bit difficult.
``In the end, though, it merely confirmed the impression I already had of him.''

Now Blue's the new black
TOPPING the charts isn’t enough for BLUE — they’ve also taken to the world of fashion.
The lads are the new face of Puffa jackets and have designed individual coats that will hit Selfridges stores in London, Manchester and Birmingham, but only in limited numbers.
Manufacturers are waiting to see if the jackets by LEE RYAN, DUNCAN JAMES, ANTONY COSTA and SIMON WEBBE sell well. If they do, a full range will follow next Spring.
Simon told me: “These jackets reflect our style.”
It is the second deal in recent weeks for the boys, who have agreed to be the the face of white chocolate Maltesers.

Spooky Blue
That Madonna has got a lot to answer for. Her obession with getting half the famous people on the planet to don one of those red string, Kabbalah bracelets and declare their interest in being 'spiritual' has clearly rubbed off on Simon and Duncan Blue.
The spooky twosome have revealed that they have been seeking career advice from mediums. Their job is to look for inhabitants of the spirit world who've got a bit of free time time to keep an eye on Blue as they go about their busy pop lives.

Die britische Boy Combo Blue muss jegliche Promopläne für ihr neues Album 'Guilty' bis auf weiteres auf Eis legen. Wie die Zeitung 'The Mirror' berichtet, wurde Blue Sänger Simon Webbe gestern mit einer schweren Virusinfektion in ein Krankenhaus in Somerset eingeliefert. Simon klagte seit mehreren Tagen über Magenbeschwerden und brach gestern bei den Proben zusammen. Patient Simon darf allerdings keine Besuche empfangen, da der Onkel Doktor 24 Stunden Quarantäne angeordnet hat.

BLUE’s SIMON WEBBE left hospital yesterday after being treated for a severe viral infection.
Simon collapsed on Tuesday during the band’s rehearsals for their forthcoming UK tour.
He was rushed to Somerset’s Minehead Hospital and immediately quarantined to prevent the bug attacking band mates LEE RYAN, DUNCAN JAMES and ANTONY COSTA.
It was feared his illness would postpone Blue’s sell-out tour, which kicks off in Belfast on Monday.
Meanwhile, rockers SPEEDWAY have been added to the list of support acts during the 27 UK gigs.

More than used to making his legions of lady fans go wibbly-kneed at the very sight of him, Blue's Simon Webbe was on the receiving end yesterday. The phwaorsome four-some were in rehearsal for their forthcoming tour, when poor Simon came over all blue-ry and collapsed.
The barfy boy-bander was rushed to hospital in Minehead, where the lucky doctors and nurses promptly warmed up their apparatus and laid on their best bedside manner. After a thorough check-up, Simon was diagnosed with a severe viral infection.
A spokesperson told the Sun:"It's such a nightmare. He was so ill."
This setback has been a major blow for the Blue boys, who now may have to cancel some of their 27 tour dates to give sickly Simon time to recover. He has also been quarantined to prevent the rest of his bandmates from catching the lurg.
Hmmm, wouldn't be a bad tactic to exercise on Pea-B'Ryan from time-to-time too!

He has been diagnosed with a severe viral infection and was placed under quarantine for 24 hours.
The 24-year-old singer had been suffering from a stomach complaint for a few days but was taken to Minehead General Hospital in Somerset when he came close to passing out yesterday morning
It can't come at a worse time for the boy band as they start their two-month-long UK tour on Monday. They also release their album on the same day and have a full diary of interviews and promotional duties.
"The band are meant to do a dress rehearsal on Saturday but Simon is really unwell. He is resting up now and at least they have diagnosed him. It was pretty frightening. He is a fit and healthy guy and thought at first he had a dodgy tummy," said a source. "It just started getting worse and worse and he was vomiting, too. The guys have been rehearsing in Minehead and it was obvious yesterday morning that Simon was seriously ill.
"The band were practising one of their songs when he collapsed.
"Everyone was really worried and he was taken straight to hospital."
Doctors thought it was gastric flu at first but then they told him he had a severe viral infection. It is so serious he was placed under 24-hour quarantine.
"The last thing the other boys need now is to get sick, too. They are going to have to stay away from him for a few days to make sure they don't get ill either," adds the source.
"They are all gutted for Simon but obviously they all hope that he gets better for the first night of the tour.
"It's a long tour so he'll have to be fully recovered as they can't bear the thought of having to cancel dates."

What better way to send yourself plummeting down the evolutionary ladder than to be mixing in the same gene pool as Lee Ryan.
Pity his future brother-in-law, John, who has just discovered that he has probably pitched up somewhere between a one-celled bacteria and barnacle by becoming a relative of lunk-headed Lee.
John spent his stag-night at saucy dance spot, Stringfellows, but things became a little, er, sticky when Lee decided it would be a lark to strip his brother-in-law and vacuum-pack him in cling-film.
Let's hope he managed to change before the big day as arriving at your wedding dressed like a ready-meal is unlikely to impress the bride...

Normally it's the girls who get their kit off at Stringfellows, but Blue singer Lee Ryan had other ideas when he popped into the famous London lap-dancing haunt recently. The 20-year-old hellraiser was determined that the stag do for his soon-to-be brother-in-law John was going to be a night to remember. So to bemused looks from fellow clubbers, Lee and his chums suddenly pounced on John, ripped off all his clothes and wrapped the unfortunate fella in clingfilm. With no pants and just see-through plastic to keep you warm, it's not a look we'd recommend. At least if Lee's lovely sister Gemma didn't know what she was letting herself in for beforehand, she does now. |

"Of course we would have loved to have had another No. 1 but we are pretty pleased to settle for No. 2, we are just thrilled to have another hit, its fantastic. For me in particular, because I wrote the track, I was just so relieved that it was a hit at all !!. So for me it feels like a massive achievement and I'm over the moon. I wanted to thank all our fans for buying the single and a special mention to everyone who came down to see us at the signing in Piccadilly last week - you were awesome - cheers!

Blue singer Lee Ryan plans to take his revenge on all those nasty pupils at school and mean-spirited journos [Bad TOTP!] that have accused him of being a tad dim of wit in the past.
The boil-in-the-bag-brained boy-bander [Doh! Old habits! - Ed.]told the Sun: "When I was younger I got chucked out of three schools because they said I couldn't concentrate on anything. But the truth was I'm dyslexic and they didn't want to know."
When it got to the point that his school didn't want him to sit his GCSEs, Lee put pen to paper to write about his ordeals. Lee called his project, which he wrote at 16, 'Changes'.
Now the dunderheaded [Arghh!] singer seeks to make the life of Lee Ryan into a film script and is currently talking to a production firm about bringing it to the big screen.
While struggling with dyslexia can make school life difficult, it doesn't explain Lee's numerous loony episodes since then. With drink driving, bizarre political commentary and going out with Liz Kitten under your belt Lee, we think you'd do better to stick to comedy!

The boy band - who released their new single Guilty this week - were at a recent charity Versace fashion show in Italy when Si nearly started a row with the pint-sized American, infamous for her sexy lyrics. "I was sitting in the audience and I kept feeling something hitting the back of my neck," Simon tells us. "I tried to ignore it for a while, but it kept happening. So I turned round to the person to give them a piece of my mind and realised it was L'il Kim flicking her hair. She's gorgeous so I let it slide!" Perhaps Simon was worried that Kim would have made the air turn blue... Unbe-Lee-vable Older ladies, don't be shy. There's hope for the maturer fans of Lee Blue (does "why are you looking at the TOTP website, mum?" ring any bells?), as it seems the over-sexed song-monkey has something of a thing for the older woman. New album ... the boys from Blue I’M the first journalist to hear BLUE’s new album Guilty — and it’s a corker. Here is my exclusive lowdown.
The boys — LEE RYAN, ANTONY COSTA, SIMON WEBBE and DUNCAN JAMES — have made their third album stronger, more mature and edgier.
You have probably already heard the single, also called Guilty, which is out today.
Any one of the 15 tracks could be a chart hit but here are a few of the highlights to look out for.
Opener Stand Up is very JUSTIN TROUSERSNAKE, thanks to some amazing falsetto singing from LEE RYAN.
It has a summery, samba feel and a catchy chorus.
Bubblin has a harder R&B sound but it is a good step away from cheesy pop and a clear contender for No1.
Breathe Easy stands out as the album’s biggest slushy ballad. I reckon it is better than the title track and I can see the diehard Blue fans swooning to this one.
It is a dead cert for the top of the charts.
There are a few mid-tempo tracks, such as When Summer’s Gone. Like Walk Away, it has a catchy chorus and is bound to be on every radio station playlist.
Last but not least is No Goodbyes. Again, it smacks of a more mature sound with chart-topper written all over it.
Well done, lads — this one’s a winner. 19.10.03 Model Pupils Not such a pop shocker has graced the pages of this site since...er...Lee Ryan's last loony blustering. But this one's a corker! Apparently, the original wit-less pop wonder did once attend school. Having once ranted though that he'd like to sleep with an alien, but wouldn't date a virgin, you'd be forgiven for needing a little proof that the Blue boy did ever don a satchel and take control over his faculties. However, according to the Star, Lee bumped into catwalk ice-queen Naomi Campbell at Thursday's Fashion Rocks event and discovered they both went to Italia Conti School of Performing Arts. "We chatted about our school days," he told The Star. We're guessing the chat didn't extend into the realms of astrophysics or theology, but apparently he didn't do too badly at charm school. Unsurprisingly, Duncan has few fond feelings for his father. He told the Sun: "I never got as much as a birthday card or a phone call from him...He didn't even know whether he had a son or a daughter." Duncan also reveals that at one point he planned a reconciliation with his father but before they had a chance to meet, his dad sold the story of their separation to the tablods. Duncan said: "I couldn't believe it...He had an opportunity to make amends after 24 years of not being around. I didn't even want him to be a father to me...In the story it was like he was trying to justify walking out on us." Hard as it may be to believe, it's not all bad news though. Through investigating his family Duncan discovered a half-brother and sister in Germany: "Julian, who's 14, and 11-year-old Tara are great. And mum has forged a great friendship with their mum, Mya, who left my dad." Duncan, sauer auf Erzeuger! Blue Sänger Duncan James schäumt vor Wut über seinen Vater: 24 Jahre lang wollte Simon Roscoe nichts von seinem Sohn wissen. Nun fühlte sich Duncan bereit dazu seinen Erzeuger zu sehen und bat ihn um ein Treffen. Roscoe war zunächst geschockt darüber, dass sein Sohn so berühmt ist. AS far as Duncan James is concerned, he doesn’t have a father.
Never has had — and never will.
Simon Roscoe walked out on Duncan’s mum Fiona when he learned she was pregnant more than 24 years ago. He wanted her to abort her unborn baby but she refused.
Simon, now 50 but a struggling musician at the time, then chucked her out of their flat and dumped her on her parents’ driveway with her bags. He hasn’t seen her since.
It comes as little surprise that Duncan wants nothing to do with the man he has dubbed “a sperm donor”.
Duncan explains: “I never got as much as a birthday card or a phone call from him. He’d never done anything for me in my life. He didn’t even know whether he had a son or a daughter.
“He wasn’t interested in me as a person, so I thought ‘sod him.’ ”
But over Christmas last year, Duncan suddenly decided he wanted to meet Simon — out of curiosity rather than a desire to form a relationship with him.
When he told his mum, she was amazed.
Fiona, 46, says: “When Duncan told me it just blew me away. I’d waited for the moment for years, and I really wanted the two of them to meet. Duncan just said he wanted to see what the guy looked like before he dies.”
Fiona set about trying to organise a meeting.
After the initial shock of being told that his son was a famous pop star, Simon agreed to the meeting and the next few months were spent trying to organise a date. The pair spoke on the phone but the meeting never took place.
True to form, Simon was to let Duncan down one last time — by cashing in on his son’s fame and selling intimate details about the family background to a scandal sheet.
Duncan explains: “I just thought, ‘You b******.’
“I couldn’t believe it. I took a call from Blue’s publicist who told me what my dad had done and I was gobsmacked.
“He had an opportunity to make amends after 24 years of not being around. I didn’t even want him to be a father to me, I just thought for once he might have behaved responsibly. But I don’t think he’s capable of that. In the story it was like he was trying to justify walking out on us.
“It was very upsetting because he told a lot of lies in that story.
“I don’t think I’d ever be able to forgive him for that. I don’t want him as a father, and I never have done.
“I think he’s a p****. He’s an alcoholic who runs away from his responsibilities all the time. He left Mum to bring me up on her own, that’s all we’ve got, each other, there’s no one else now that my grandparents have died.”
One good thing has come out of Duncan’s heartbreaking situation. He discovered he has a half brother and sister in Germany — and they have become close.
He explains: “Julian, who’s 14, and 11-year-old Tara are great. And mum has forged a great friendship with their mum, Mya, who left my dad.
“Julian reminds me so much of me. They’re the closest I’ve ever got to a brother or a sister. My mum learned a lot about my dad. “She and Mya talked for hours, and it seems that my father had this pattern of behaviour where he got into a relationship and gave this woman an awful time. Now he doesn’t even have anything to do with those children. He can’t cope with responsibility.”
Duncan insists he had a very happy childhood, despite his father not being around.
He says: “I didn’t know any different when I was growing up. My grandparents spoiled me rotten and I guess they acted as the father figure in my life. I felt very loved as a child so I didn’t find it odd that other kids had a dad and I didn’t.”
There’s no doubt Fiona did a fantastic job raising her son.
He is well-spoken, polite, has impeccable manners — and is devastatingly charming.
Blue are about to release their new album, Guilty. Their first single from it, also called Guilty, is out on October 20. The track means a lot to Duncan. The singer and Anya, 22, from now-defunct girl band Precious, first went out in 2002 but they parted in March of that year after three months together. Duncan blames the split on stories in the Press suggesting he was playing around with different women.
He says: “Every time I was photographed talking to a girl at a party it said we were going out.
“It wasn’t true but Anya found it hard to cope with and we split up. I was no saint — but I’m not a womaniser either.
“Anya got back with an ex but we stayed friends. I used to call her up when I’d had a few drinks to tell her how I felt about her.
“That’s what this song, Guilty, is about.
“She told me she felt guilty for having a good time with me when she had a boyfriend.
“In the end I convinced her that we should be together and now I’m very happy.
“We went out for a meal one night and ended up kissing. We’re taking things very slowly and hopefully it will all work out.
“She’s got my mum’s approval, which is very tough to win. She’s very much a girl-next-door. She doesn’t wear mini skirts or tarty clothes.
“She’s from a very respectable family, had a good education and we have a laugh together.”
Duncan insists it is too early to talk about marriage — but listening to him talk gushingly about Anya, I wouldn’t mind betting that it happens sooner rather than later.

BLUE hunk Duncan James is set to ask on-off girlfriend Anya Lahiri to
marry him and start a family after finding he had a brother and
sister he never knew existed.
Duncan previously linked to a string of women including Dani Behr,
Liberty X beauty Michelle Heaton and It girl Tara Palmer-Tomkinson
said: ``My ex-girlfriend Anya is back on the scene. She's the one I
have always loved so hopefully, fingers crossed it might happen.
``We just started seeing each other again, it's new, so we'll have to
wait and see.
``But I think it could be another Blue engagement.''
All this has come hard on the heels of the emotional moment Duncan
discovered his father, who walked out on the family when Duncan was
born.
Duncan said: ``I always felt that he would come out of the woodwork.
The most important thing that came out of him contacting me was the
fact that I found out, six months ago, that I had a brother and a
sister.
``I'm 24 and I'd never had a brother and sister, but all my life I
always wanted one.
``So, to find out that my biological father has two children from
another marriage was quite intriguing to me.
``In my mind he's just the man that made me still, in my blood.
``I've got part of him and part of me is in two other children, if
you see what I mean.
``They live in Germany, sothey don't speak a lot of English. The
little boy, Julian, is 14 and the little girl, Tara, is 11.
``Julian speaks a lot more English than Tara she just sort of looks
at me and smiles.
``I've seen them about six or seven times now. Julian's got the exact
same eyebrows and eyes as me the spitting image, which is pretty
weird.
``I can't quite get my head around it sometimes. But it's nice and
it's something I'm learning to deal with.''
Despite meeting his new step-siblings, Duncan has so far refused to
meet his father.
He explained: ``I've never met him. I've just talked to him on the
phone and seen pictures of him.
``But he's never really wanted to make an effort with me. If he did
he would have got into contact with me before. So, in my head, he's
not a particularly nice person.
``Then he wrote a story in the paper that was a load of lies, tried
to `big' himself up, tried to make out all sorts ofstuff that wasn't
true. In the end, the fundamental point is, he left my mum when I was
born.
``He walked out and it doesn't matter who you are, that's
unforgivable, the lowest of the low. Not making any contact, or
nothing, for all those years, it's almost like I wasn't there, I
didn't exist in his head. ``But, as I said, the good thing to come
out of it is Julian and Tara.''
With two No.1 albums and three No.1 singles under their belt, the
Brit-award winning band release their new single, Guilty, on Monday.
They head to Scotland for live shows on December 2, 3 and 4 at
Glasgow's SECC some tickets are still available. Meanwhile, Duncan
insists his pop career could soon be over as he is already
considering a move into acting.
He said: ``I've always wanted to be an actor, since I did my first
school play, aged four. Now, because of my success with Blue, the
acting dream isn't so far behind any more.''

Right out of the Blue

I can't think of a much better way to start the day than by sharing a bacon sarnie with Duncan James. He arrives clutching a Starbucks coffee in one hand and the sandwich, from a local "caff", in the other. He immediately offers me a bite, and it's delicious. As is he.

James says he is feeling "like a zombie" after flying in from Los Angeles and a promo tour of Japan, where his band, Blue, has become the third most popular act after Avril Lavigne and Tatu.
James, 24, a Brad Pitt lookalike (only younger and with better skin), has been in the limelight ever since Blue released their debut single, All Rise, in 2001 - the beginning of a meteoric career that has included seven consecutive Top Ten hits and two number one albums, the latest of which has sold more than 1.6 million copies in Britain alone. They have also won Brit awards for Best Newcomer and Best Pop Act.
On stage, James describes himself as the one member of the band with the "structured classical look". "Lee [Ryan] is into biker jackets, Simon [Webbe] likes long, three-quarter coats, Batman-style, and Antony [Costa] is the leathery hard-man, a bit of a Robert De Niro. We're all different, we're not clones.
"Clothes are visually very important to us. Most of our stage clothes are custom-made for us. Dressing well is part of our career. We have to be seen to be looking very street, very cool."
Off-stage, however, James is pretty much a T-shirt and jeans man. Today, he is dressed in a plain white T-shirt, scuffed Nike Air Force trainers and a pair of baggy D&G jeans.
"I collect jeans," he says. "It's ridiculous. I've got 250 pairs - H&M, Marks & Spencer, Diesel, Burton, TopMan, Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, Versace when I bought a house for my mum, I had to have a whole room turned into a wardrobe for all the jeans I'd collected."

James has since bought his own flat and the jeans have moved with him, but he remains very close to his mother and, like any boy who has grown up without a father, is fiercely protective.
"My mum is my only family. I wouldn't have anything if it wasn't for her. Dad walked out when I was a kid."
James's mother, Fiona Inglis, has just documented her story as a single parent in a new book, Just the Two of Us, which is published this week.
"It's about her life and mine," says James. "She was adopted and she talks about finding her real parents. It's very moving. I cried when I read that chapter. I found my real father, but we've only spoken on the phone.
"I don't know if I'll ever see him. A lot of shit's happened in my family. All I know is that I ain't going to make those mistakes he made when I'm older." James, who grew up in Sidmouth, Devon, started singing at school and decided at a young age that he wanted to be an actor. He studied drama and joined the Sidmouth Amateur Dramatics Society.
But, as in any single parent family, money was always tight. At 17, he landed his first job, as a check-out boy at his local supermarket. At weekends, he worked in a nearby cinema.
"I was dressed up with a dicky bow and at half-time I had to go round with a tray of ice-cream tubs and a torch. I got £2.15 an hour - this was before the minimum wage. But I got to see films for free and was paid time- and-a-half on Sunday. By doing that, I could survive and earn some cash."

His next job was, at least, an introduction to performing, although as a red coat for Haven Holidays, he was still a long way from becoming a pop idol.
"I did two and a half seasons with them and I learnt so much. I can compere, I can do ballroom dancing, I can waltz, quick-step, you name it. I guess I was a bit Michael Ball. I could do his voice very well. In fact, when I joined Blue, I had to have lessons to reconstruct my voice for pop. I was too theatrical."
Being a member of one of the biggest boy bands since Take That has been James's life for the past two and a half years. "About 90 per cent of what we do is promos - interviews, photo shoots and recording. But it's the performing that I love. Doing the show is the best thing. On tour, you're performing every night. I love it. We all look forward to it.
"We've got a big UK tour eight weeks before Christmas, starting in Belfast on the third of November. I can't wait. And, in February, we're doing our first tour outside Britain, in Japan."
First up, however, is James's appearance, nationwide, as the new face of men's fashion chain Burton - his first solo project.
"I felt a bit rabbit-in-the-headlights without the other three. But it was wicked. We were on this kind of old-fashioned fairground in south London, with two lurchers and smoke machines, so that it would look like winter. It was surreal, but cool.

"I was really surprised by the clothes. I used to shop at Burton when I was 18. I bought my first suit there, black with purple lining. I paid for it myself and felt on top of the world.
"I was really surprised by the way they've turned Burton round. It's not all suity and booty any more. There's modern, funky stuff: beautiful jackets, a sheepskin coat that I fell in love with and a red cardigan.
"It's not D&G - that costs an arm and a leg. This is high street prices."
For the time being, James is perfectly happy being a member of Blue. But he is well aware of just how short the shelf life of a boy band can be.
"I want to act," he says. "I love Shakespeare and period drama. And musicals. I'd love to do Miss Saigon. But I couldn't do comedy."
Right now, I'd say Duncan James could do pretty much anything he set his mind to.

MANAGEMENT TELL BLUE BOYS TO SHAPE UP
BOY band Blue have been ordered on a crash fitness course by their management because they are out of shape.
The pop hunks will embark on a mammoth arena tour of the UK and Ireland this autumn.
But record bosses reckon that Lee Ryan and Antony Costa arebecoming too porky and Duncan James and Simon Webbe are too thin.
Duncan, 24, explained: ``When you go into TV stations, you get a request list of what you want in the dressing rooms.
``We always ask for a kettle to make honey and lemon tea to help our throats and voices.
``We normally get crisps and chocolate too, but we are only being allowed fresh fruit.''
The boys kick off their first tour, starting at Birmingham NEC on November 8 and visit cities including Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow and Manchester.
But Lee admits he is struggling to get in shape for the first gig.
He said: ``We've got a strict regime. We've got a month to go, but I've done nothing.
``I'm eating healthily though.'' Duncan said he and Simon have been told to get to the gym because they are too scrawny.
He said: ``Simon and I have got to put on weight because we have got high metabolisms.''

Blue Team Up with Stevie Wonder and Angie Stone To Record “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours”
Duncan, Simon, Antony and Lee have teamed up with Motown legend Stevie Wonder and soul diva Angie Stone to record a new version of Stevie’s 1970 hit “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours”.
The track will be included on Blue’s highly anticipated third album “Guilty” and will be released as a single in December, rounding off what has undoubtedly been Blue’s most successful year to date.
Blue flew to LA at the end of September to record the track with Stevie and Angie and filmed a video with the pair at the same time. The recording came about when Blue decided to follow up their 2002 Elton John collaboration by recording a second classic duet for their new album. The boys dream musical partner was Stevie Wonder and approaches were made to his management to record “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours”. To Blue’s delight, Stevie agreed and with his blessing they then approached Angie Stone to also feature on the track, having previously recorded a cover of Angie’s “Don’t Treat Me Like A Fool” for their "One Love" album.
Simon says: "Recording with Stevie was an experience like no other. It was a dream come true, the man is a legend. It was amazing to record "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours" as it's one of our all time favourite songs. There was a great vibe on the video set. Stevie and Angie are good friends and that really came across. They made us feel very comfortable and we had a fantastic time."

The musicians have been in rehearsals without Blue for about a week already so the boys will be able to go straight into routining the songs with them. Planning for the tour is well underway, the lads have already chosen their set list and work is beginning on building the arena staging and effects.

Liz's Phone Moan
You might think that being a major pop celeb would be a good way of avoiding having to ring your ex-girlfs late in the night when you're feeling sad and lonely, but it seems not be true in the case of Lee Ryan.
According to the tabs, the Blue crooner has taken to ringing former ladyfriend Liz Kitten at all hours when he's had a few to drink, and she's so fed up with it, she's had to change her mobile number four times.
One of Liz's litter of Kitty-mates told the Mirror: "Liz finds the whole thing terribly upsetting. Lee usually calls when he's had a few too many beers. He's quite bolshie and some of the things he says are not the kind of things she wants to hear."
And it's not like changing her number is proving to be all that useful, either: "The problem for her is that, because they are on the same record label, someone keeps giving him her new number. He probably doesn't realise she keeps changing the number to get away from him."
A spokesperson for Lee offered this bewildered response: "He denies harassing Liz and wouldn't understand why anyone is saying he is."

Simon will be taking over Schooly's Capital Radio show for one night only on Friday 17th October.
The boys have been on Schooly's show many times and Simon was chuffed to be asked by Capital bosses if he wanted to be the guest DJ for the evening.

Eben noch gab Lee Ryan egozentrisch zu, die Affäre mit Liz Mc Clarnon sei für ihn ein Fehler gewesen. Sie dürfte dem wohl vollem Herzens zustimmen.
Angeblich änderte sie in den letzten sechs Monaten vier mal die Handynummer, um nicht nächstens vom betrunkenen Blue-Sänger belämmert zu werden.
"Vieles von dem, was er ihr zu erzählen hat, will sie gar nicht hören. Das Problem ist, dass er immer wieder ihre neuen Codes grickt, da seine Band bei der gleichen Company ist", behauptet ein Insider.

His calls force Kitten to switch numbers 4 times THEY had one of the rockiest relationships in pop. But just when we thought we'd heard the last of the Liz McLarnon/Lee Ryan saga it's taken another twist.
Liz The Atomic Kitten babe has had to change her mobile number four times in the past six months because Lee keeps pestering her with calls. Sources say even though Blue star Lee has dated a string of girls since his relationship with Liz fizzled out earlier this year, he still thinks it's ok to ring her for a chat when he feels like it. He's been calling her non-stop even though he says publicly he doesn't want to rekindle their romance. Liz has told pals she is definitely over Lee, doesn't want him back and wishes he would leave her alone. An insider tells us: "Liz finds the whole thing terribly upsetting. "Lee usually calls when he's had a few too many beers. He's quite bolshie and some of the things he says are not the kind of things she wants to hear. "He probably doesn't realise she keeps changing the number to get away from him. "He might think it's a bit of harmless fun, I'm sure loads of people call up their ex-partners when they've had a bit too much to drink, but in this case it's got a bit out of hand." Liz, 22, and Lee, 23, dated on and off for more than a year before finally splitting in April. Lee's publicist said last night: "He denies harassing Liz and wouldn't understand why anyone is saying he is." |

It's been all of a nanosecond since Lee Ryan has felt the need to share some of his words of wisdom. So, thank goodness the Blue singer has come out with some more fascinating facts about his life.
The 20-year-old reckons that virgins are "hard work" and that he prefers to bed women who have slept around. His ex-girlfriend Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon must be honoured to have been linked with such a gent. "I don't mind if a woman's got a bit of history. I'd never judge her on that. Besides, virgins are too much like hard work!" And he's not bothered if his lovers sell their story, either. He added: "Good luck to them. I don't mind because the girls usually say I was good! "One even said I was better than Leonardo DiCaprio. How could I complain about that? I'm bloody brilliant, me!" If you're such as studmuffin, Lee, how come none of your women hang around for long? |

Lee Ryan pöbelt wieder
Dem Jungen scheint sein Erfolg wohl zu Kopf gestiegen zu sein. Lee Ryan von Blue macht sich in letzter Zeit extrem unbeliebt: Erst wird er betrunken am Steuer seines Porsches verhaftet, dann tritt er auf einem Festival "aus Spaß" einfach eine Campingtoilette um, weil er denkt, sein Manager säße darin - dummerweise war es ein wildfremder Zeitgenosse, der den Schreck seines Lebens bekam - und nun legte sich der Sänger am Londoner Flughafen mit einer Angestellte an und beschimpfte sie so wüst, dass die Umstehenden rote Ohren bekamen!
Was war passiert? Lees Flug war zwar schon längst aufgerufen worden, doch Herr Ryan bequemte sich zunächst nicht, seinen Allerwertesten aus der Business-Lounge in Richtung Check-In zu bewegen. Erst nachdem alle Passagiere schon längst an Bord der Maschine waren und diese bereits über zehn Minuten Verspätung hatte, weil man auf den Promi-Passagier wartete, geruhte der Star endlich aufzutauchen. Die Schalter-Angestellte konnte sich - berechtigterweise - einen Kommentar zu seiner Verspätung nicht verkneifen - und wurde daraufhin von Lee obszön beschimpft.
Die Quittung bekam Mr. Ryan dafür dann allerdings nachdem er tatsächlich an Bord gegangen war. Der Flugkapitän verwahrte sich lautstark gegen Lees unverschämtes Betragen gegenüber der armen Frau am Schalter und erklärte den anderen Passagieren, er würde diesen "ungezogenen Schnösel" nur mitnehmen, weil es jetzt zu lange dauern würde, dessen Gepäck wieder auszuladen!

Lee Ryan (20), Mitglied der Boy-Group „Blue“ (erst kürzlich blau am Steuer erwischt), hat sich schon wieder danebenbenommen. Wie wir dem britischen Boulevardblatt „The Sun“ entnehmen, bekam Lee auf dem Londoner Flughafen Heathrow einen heftigen Pöbel-Anfall: Kurz vor Abflug mahnte ihn eine Stewardess, sich ein wenig zu beeilen. Doch „Ich-hab-Star-Allüren-Ryan“ blieb einfach in seinem Sessel in der Business-Lounge von British Airways sitzen. Der ganze Flieger musste warten - und Ryan wurde auch noch aggressiv. Er pöbelt die unfreundlichen Worte „F*** off...!“ Ende vom Lied: Als der Blue-Sänger endlich deutlich gemacht hatte, dass er ein wirklicher „ViP“ ist, stieg er lammfrom in die Maschine...

"Blue"-Sänger Lee Ryan hat einen ganz besonderen Trick, um Mädels aufzureißen.
Er sagte jetzt: "Am liebsten falle ich Treppen hinunter. Ich stürze mich selbst die ganze Zeit Stufen herunter. Wenn gerade ein Mädchen vorbeigeht, werde ich im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes auf den Boden knallen und mir wehtun. Da halten die Mädels immer an und fragen, ob alles okay ist. Die Masche zieht immer."
Tja, aber ob er die Mädels lange halten kann? Wie die "Sun" in ihrer heutigen Ausgabe berichtet, pinkelt und furzt Lee in sein Bett, um es aufzuwärmen
Lee sagte jetzt: "Ich liebe es, in ein kaltes Bett steigen und es dann aufzuwärmen und dann gehört es mir, weil ich es aufgewärmt habe. Und ich furze rein und so. Furzt in eure Betten und haltet es nett und warm. Wenn es zu kalt wird, pinkelt euch an und es wird wärmer."
Das ist übrigens nicht die erste etwas komische Aussage von Ryan. Vor kurzen gestand er, dass er gerne einmal Sex mit einem Alien hätte. Er erklärte, er würde sich sogar mit den Außerirdischen, die ja einfach unter uns leben, fortpflanzen.
Guck mal, Giovanni! Ich hab noch nen Neuen! Und der sexy Typ an ihrer Seite ist auch noch viel berühmter als ihr Ex. Lee tanzte mit ihr bei der 38. Verleihung der goldenen Kamera in Berlin. Als würde Vanny den armen Gio provozieren wollen, dreht sie sich auch noch richtig in die Kamera! Nach der Party ging´s dann angeblich ins Hotel, wo dann auch noch die Nacht gemeinsam verbracht wurde. Und, ist da was dran?
Vanny: Na ja, ich und Lee hatten einen echt schönen Abend, er hat mich zwar noch ins Hotel gebracht ist dann aber wieder zur Party gegangen um dann weiter zu feiern! Da ist echt nicht mehr gelaufen...! Was heißt denn nun nicht mehr gelaufen? Als was...? Nicht mehr gelaufen als tanzen oder nicht mehr gelaufen als knutschen?
Lee: Vanessa ist echt symphatisch und sieht auch echt gut aus...wir haben uns sehr amysiert..zum Abschied auch geküsst aber mehr nun auch nicht!
Na dann sind wir doch ehrleichtert...und der kleine Giovanni wohl auch!
