In the School Fields Centre classes can drive for an excursion and stay about a week. It has two corridors, one for the girls and one for the boys. There are rooms with four or six beds. In both corridors there are washrooms and toilets. For breakfast, lunch and supper there’s a big dining room. For breakfast you got brad with cheese, ham or jam and milk. For lunch you got something warm to eat and warm tea. You can have tea at half past three, too. Everybody got one cake and tea. For supper you got again bread with something to spread. After lunch there’s the “KadeWe”, where you can buy drinks or postcards.

In the gym you can play table tennis and table football. Often there competitions in these games. Outside there are a football pitch and a volleyball field.

The village on Spiekeroog isn’t big. It only has got 732 inhabitants but there are many souvenir shops. You can go to there on a small road or over an old railway road. In the dunes you often can see pheasants.

To the beach you go from the School Fields Centre on the dunes. On the other side you can run down very fast and throw yourself into the sand. That’s fun. To the North Sea you only need five minutes to go. Sometimes when it’s good weather you can see ships, Langeoog or the mainland. Last time we where on Spiekeroog with class we’ve done a competition in sandcastles.

On the Island there are many pheasants there. If you come back from Spiekeroog and you haven’t seen any pheasant, it is not normal.

You can do many tours on and around Spiekeroog. E.g. You can make a walking tour to the east end of the island or to the west end. Or you drive with a cutter out. There you can see many seals.

You can do very much on the island. You don’t think like that if you are there the first time.

I can’t list everything here. E.g You can make walking tours through the dunes. Or you lent a horse a make a riding tour on the beach.

There are some restaurent on the Island. You can eat there fish or mussels. And there are a few Ice-shops there.

There is a disco on the Island.It’s near the ‘ Walter- Requart- Heim’ on the west end.

If you want to see seals, you should drive to seal-banks with a fish-cutter.
