RAGNARÖK

.at the end of my sinful live, I would like to write down on skin those
extraordinary events. Events, once told to me by a young man, whorn I
met by coincidence. I didn ' t know his name or where he came from.
He had written a fragmentary account on his experience on calfskin, or told it to me, with the wish that I would write it down one day and pass it on to future generations. He told
me then, that his youth had challenged hirn to look for the tracks of
ancient gods and heroes in Iceland. He wa also eager to find out, who the people were, that were in those days living in this loneley country , where they came frorn and what they had been going through.
I must admit, hat in the last years, those fragmentary accounts, which I
have kept together and studied thoroughly, have upset and deeply
affected myself. Until this very day, when I write the down frorn the
viewpoint of my unforgettable friend, in order to make things as simple as possible. „

This is the dramatic Feature Film of our Production "The Myths and Sagas of the North" withour Moderation.  In Nordic mythology ragnarök means "apocalypse," which is the general theme of the film. A virtual storyteller from the early middle ages describes the beginning of
the world, the origin of the gods, the creation of man and the apocalypse – Ragnarök. Then the story moves on to when the first settlers came to Iceland more than 1300 years ago and found the home of their gods on this island, shaped by unique lava formations, volcanoes and waterfalls. These mysterious places play a key part in the film. The sagas of the first settlers are told through extended acted scenes. The story of Sigurd, the dragon slayer, whose legend is echoed in the central-European Nibelungenlied, is also touched upon.
