All my  Mietz ancestors were born in Hinterpommern ( Pomerania) to be more precise from the Districts of Rummelsburg (now call Maistko),Schlawe,Stolp,Pollnow, Buetow, Koestlin, Schlochau,and Neustettin.

I believe that somewhere around 1830 the

1. Carpenter Carl Mietz  was born, because when his son Carl Heinrich Mietz got married in 1899, he and his wife Caroline  Gumz  were already dead and buried in  Gross-Schwirsen now called Swierzenko.

Oct.1866  in /?/ and  he was married to Hulda Auguste Wilhelmine Heuer  on 18. Sept. 1896 in Pritzig (now called Przytocko)   she was born on 04 Aug. 1872 in Puestow , her parents were Friedrich Heuer and Berta Abel,  they lived in  Lischberg/ District Rummelsburg.   Witnesses were  August Reinke 32 years old from Bublitz and Albert Krumbuegel  25 years old also from Bublitz

1.1.1 Franz Otto Mietz was born on  18. Apr. 1897 in ? / Dist. Rummelsburg married Martha Maria Mathilde Raguse on 25 ? 1928 in Pollnow  she was born on 15. May 1903 in Selberg (now called Zeliborz Nowy )/ District Rummelsburg,   witnesses were Walter Mietz and May Raguse.

1.1.1.2 Gerhard Mietz,  was born on 09 Sept. 1930 in Rotzog ( now called Rosocha )/ District Schlawe, he died 27.Aug 2007 in Beckum and is burried in Lippling/Paderborn next to his son-inlaw Heinz Sunder)  he married Anna Sch. in Apr.1954 in Beckum,/Westfalia/West-Germany,  she was born in Osterwiek (now  called Ostrowite) West-Prussia on 10 Dec. 1931. and  she died on 27. Aug. 1988 in Oelde/ Westfalen  and she is burried in Suenninghausen
