Besides learning geographical expertise in classroom, we also practiced fieldwork in the field (I'm not sure where I was "located" in the photo!).

We were practicing the knowledge we learnt in the class in the field (I'm the right 3rd in the 2nd row. The right 2nd Zhou Xi is living in Beijing, left 2nd Xu Hongning is living in Australia. The tall guy behind me is Cui Cheng who is living in Beijing at present).

We were in the field (I'm the left 2nd, left 1st Fan Min and right 1st Zhang Xiaodong are living in Beijing. The middle Shiwei is abroad as visiting scholar and the right 2nd Qing Xiaohong is in Canada at present).

We reached the top of the Huashan Mountain of China in July 1986 after 10 hours'  climbing and hiking.  I'm on the left 2nd place in the 2nd row.

One sunny autumn afternoon, some of us met one of our teachers (middle) by chance in the university campus and the photo was therefore taken.

At 1985's New Year Eve, in the party for the coming of new year, some of my classmates were showing their talents by performing Yangbanxi  "Sha JIa Bang" (Yangbanxi ------Model Opera which was popular in 1970s by demonstrating revolutionary people fighting against counter-revolutionary armies for the founding of the new China). Ms. Ma Junhong(left, my up-bed) is living in Canada now, Mr. Song Jiucheng (middle) is living in Beijing and Mr. Li Qing(right) is living in the USA at present.

I(left 1st) used to be the 3rd seed player in the women table tennis (ping-pong) team in Beijing Normal University (1984-1988).  Our team had gained the 4th place in the annual Beijing Colleges Table Tennis Tournament in 1985.

My classmate Li Guifang (who is living in Beijing at present) and I were playing with snow in our university campus in a winter. Our classmate Chen Changsong(right) was supplying snow for us to decorate us more vivid in this photo. Both of us were nick-named "cat" by our other 66 classmates.

What a big mess! Could any of us remember the "picture" in our dormitory?

My boyfriend and I were wandering in a park of Beijing during a weekend in the summer of 1987 when both of us were students of Beijing Normal University. One year later, after our graduation, he became my husband.

In the summer break of 1987, my mother paid me a visit in Beijing. During this period of time, I worked as the tourist guide of my mother in Beijing to visit many places of historic interest and scenic beauty. They are: the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, the Memorial Hall of the late Chinese ex-president Mao Zedong, the Forbidden City/Palace Museum (imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties), the Nationalities Cultural Museum, the Beihai Park, the Fragrant Hills, the Temple of Heaven, the tombs of the Ming dynasty emperors and a section of the Great Wall at Badaling (Eight Thoroughfare Peaks), etc. 

From this photo, one can see beacon towers standing at regular intervals in the Great Wall. They mostly stand on hilltops or easily visible sites, which formed a communication system by transmitting messages through signals of smoke or fire to the capital and the major garrisons. The Great Wall runs 6,700km across 5 provinces of China.

My university classmates and I got together in Zhongshan Road Night Market of Nanning on Aug. 10, 2003, after 15 years' separation.  We also took a stroll in the Pedestrian Street of Xingning Road at that night.
