BASIC HUMAN NEEDS
There are at least six needs that are basic to ever human being no matter his or her background, culture or race. Our happiness is tied to having these basic needs fulfilled.
Affection…the need to be loved which brings with it value.
Nurturing…to be cared for and provided for in all aspects of life and emotions.
Security…stability in relationships, environment, etc. with boundaries and things to believe in and trust.
Acceptance…to be received (with all our faults), to belong, to be known as, to be desirable as a person.
Competence…to have a degree of intelligence, be adequate and capable of providing for ourselves.
Impact…to be significant, matter, have a place in this world with others responding to us.
(1) Salvation, (2) Sanctification, and (3) Carry out the Great Commission so that others may receive.
