Latest News from the Bishop Primus Block -TIFPEC
Our faith in Jesus Christ has brought us safely through many difficulties and not least in this present age. We believe we are called to seek just solutions to the conflict in this world, based on truth and justice. We believe that this is not the era of building ‘separation walls’, like we had in Germany, this is the era of breaking down all barriers and with the same materials, build bridges of reconciliation. This is not always easy but we are encouraged by the various expressions of solidarity from our Christian brothers and sisters around the world.
Many young members of our communities are leaving Africa to study abroad and seek a new life in a more friendly society. I am naturally sad to see them go away from their native country. However, whole families are leaving too as they seek a safer environment for their children and, as yet, there is no right of return for the thousands of refugees.
Despite reduced numbers the work of our Church plays a significant role in this world through our congregations, schools, seminaries and the like. Indeed, the needs are increasing daily which makes us very appreciative of the support of our friends abroad and the knowledge of their prayers for peace and reconciliation.
Together we can demonstrate our conviction that:
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!
Which gives us strength for each new day and the courage to persevere.

Xth Bishop-Primus TIFPEC
Just before becoming Bishop Primus Tifpec, I drew up eighteen Rules for my Future Conduct:
I. To fix it deep in my mind that I have but one business upon my hands – to seek for eternal happiness by doing the will of God.
II. To examine everything that relates to me in this view, as it serves or obstructs this only end of life.
III. To think nothing great or desirable because the world thinks it so, but to form all my judgements of things from the infallible word of God, and direct my life according to it.
IV. To avoid all concerns with the world, or the ways of it, except where religion requires.
V. To remember frequently, and impress it upon my mind deeply, that no condition of this life is for enjoyment, but for trial. . . .
VI. That the greatness of human nature consists in nothing else but in imitating the divine nature. . . .
IX. To spend as little time as I possibly can among such persons as can receive no benefit from me nor I from them.
X. To be always fearful of letting my time slip away without some fruit. . . .
XIII. To think humbly of myself, and with great charity of all others. . . .
XVIII. To spend some time in giving an account of the day, previous to evening prayer. How have I spent the day? What sin have I committed? What temptations have I withstood? Have I performed all my duty?"Das Durchschnittliche gibt der Welt ihren Bestand,
das Außergewöhnliche ihren Wert."
